Boyfriend Creche- Features

From researching previous trails of 'Man Lands' and 'Man Creches', the majority of 'boys toys' were the same throughout regardless of whether they were in Australia or England. I have also conducted a survey to see what features men would want to see within these services. 

FEATURES THAT WOULD GENERATE REVENUE

• A Cafe- One of the reasons men get irritable when shopping is to do with thirst and hunger, therefore a cafe selling the basics would be a necessity. The cafe would be Intu's own brand therefore they can generate money through this. 
• A Bar- This would either be alongside the cafe or put in a separate area  to the cafe, perhaps an 18+ area so younger men would still be able to use the facility. Again, Intu would be able to take a cut from the money generated from sales.
• iPads/Shopping Facilities- Even though men have come to get away from shopping, previous research has outlined that men quite enjoy shopping online, therefore these tablets would be loaded up with shopping apps so men can browse and hopefully push them to want to go and browse within store. 
• Men aren't bothering women- Whilst the men are in the 'man creche', their partners are wandering the shopping centres at their own pace and taking as long as they want to try things on etc. Therefore this will generate more sales as women will shop for longer. 
• Games Consoles- Although it won't cost men to use the games consoles, playing on new games they haven't tried before may generate sales of games or even the consoles themselves.
• Other- There is also the option of charging for the service, whether men have to pay a fixed price to use the facilities, or it is added in to parking prices is something to consider and look into with more detail. In addition, some of the facilities within the creche may charge e.g. arcade style games machines, pool and foosball tabes etc.

FEATURES THAT DON'T GENERATE REVUNUE

• Pool/Foosball Tables/ Games Consoles- Unless there was a charge for this service or to use the tables, then these would be a free facility for men to use.
• Magazines/Newspapers- The most up to date versions of a variety of male magazines and newspapers
• Sports on Television- all the sports channels available. Perhaps different televisions showing different games in opposite ends of the 'lad pad' so there is a variety for men to watch.
• Free Wifi
• Music- either a radio channel could be streamed, or even Intu's very own radio station could be produced. Failing that, music channels could be played when sports aren't shown, or music jukeboxes could be available e.g. like the ones found in Burton stores.
