Initial Idea #3- ASDA Loyalty Scheme

• Upon beginning my research into the loyalty scheme, I found that ASDA don't do loyalty schemes for a reason. It says on their website 'At Asda we reward all of our customers for their loyalty by charging low prices every day of the week, all year round', and further goes on to explain that they don't believe in buying their consumers with 'plastic points'. Hence, I have deemed this idea already void as realistically it isn't something Asda would be interested in launching for the time being.  

• Some forums online make the comments that they would prefer to shop at Asda but loyalty schemes in other places keep them going back to there. However, Asda seem adamant that they do not want to focus their attention on a loyalty scheme.
• In addition, given that Tesco is so prominent within the world of supermarket loyalty schemes, it may be difficult for such a promotional campaign to stick out, with regards to the face that most people already have at least one loyalty card- and do they really want the hassle of another?
